"You have two worlds of poetry, the two stereotypes that are too true: angsty people at coffee houses vs. pretentious academic bullshit… Really, really bad poetry will hurt you, but just for a second.”
Cheryl Klein is the Grants Manager at HomeBoy Industries. She believes in storytelling as a vital tool in the pursuit of social justice, and likes exploring those intersections. She’s also the author of two works of fiction, The Commuters (City Works Press) and Lilac Mines (Manic D Press), and many short stories and essays.
